Sprint is pushing out a update for the Evo 4G LTE, its version of the HTC One X, which brings with it the promise of a fully-functional Google Wallet app. The Evo 4G LTE has been plagued by Google Wallet issues for some time now, and despite reports that the issues were fixed for some users, a number of devices remained unable to use Google's mobile payment system. As well as repairing Wallet, the update also offers fixes for a number of other issues early adopters of the smartphone have been reporting. Here's the full changelog from Sprint:
"This update (version 1.22.651.3) addresses:
- Google security updates
- Wifi disconnect issue
- Time zone issue
- Google Wallet fix
- Side loaded video pause issue
- Random power cycling issue
- Pioneer Bluetooth Car Kit connection issue
- Gallery app crash
- Calendar reminder (all day even time) issue"
The update is being pushed over-the-air to devices today. If you haven't received the update notification yet you can try to force the issue by going to Settings > System updates > HTC software update, and let us know how you get on with the update in comments!
Thanks, Walt!
