Facebook today announced a totally revamped Events page with a full calendar and day-to-day list view of events. The new page will roll out to users over the next few hours, and is perhaps the biggest visual update ever to Facebook's Events feature. You can view your Events page using an icon on the left sidebar of your screen — which now changes based on what day it is. First and foremost, the new Events page is a giant grid-style calendar that displays upcoming events and birthdays when you hover your mouse over a day.

Enter "List" view to view the next few days' events and birthdays vertically by date. Today's birthday area contains text boxes so you can quickly write on a friends' wall. Also, new RSVP drop-down menus next to each event make it simpler to respond to events you've been invited to or suggested events friends are attending. Previously, it's taken a couple clicks to interact with an event, whether you're going or not. Like many Facebook features, the new page is the result of the hackathon at the company's headquarters where employees were asked to take a stab at redesigning the Events Page.
