When iOS 6 was first revealed it was clear that the iPhone 3GS would be missing out on a number of new features, but it looks like support is now being added for at least of few of them. With the developer release of iOS 6 Beta 3, both shared Photo Streams and VIP email features are now supported on the aging 3GS, and Apple has updated the iOS 6 information page to remove the previously listed restrictions. Previously both features were only available on the iPhone 4 or later. Even with the change, though, the device will still be without a number of notable iOS 6 features, including Flyover and turn-by-turn navigation, both of which will only work with the iPhone 4S or newer devices.
