Google's Kansas City Fiber project has been a long time coming, but it looks like the company is ready to announce some details about its mysterious project on July 26th, according to a quick post on the Google Fiber blog. While the company got approval to launch fiber-based video services in Kansas City (Missouri and Kansas) back in March, Google has been fairly coy about the details. However, the FCC tipped us off to a Google Fiber-branded set-top box, so we're not surprised to learn that the company is almost ready to spill the beans. It looks like Time Warner's offer to tipsters who send in information on Google Fiber likely won't last much longer. For those who simply want to learn more, you can sign up for details right here.
Update: It's worth noting that while Google's blog says that there will be "more information" on July 26th, the video below says Google Fiber "arrives" on that date. While it probably is just referring to a formal introduction, it would be quite a day if Google flipped the switch on its new service.
