Google Earth 7.0 has just hit the iTunes App Store bringing with it those all-new, stunning 3D maps that the company showed off last month. Of course, the highly-realistic 3D imagery goes head-to-head with "Flyover" in Apple's new maps in iOS 6, but since that operating system isn't available for anyone but developers at the moment, Google Earth is your only option. The new imagery is only available in Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Geneva, and Rome, but Google promises that it will add more cities "over the coming weeks." Only the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 or later can handle the new feature, but all will be able to access a new tour guide that will show you a city from above. For those keeping score, Google released its Android version of the app about a month ago.
