The spectacle! The showmanship! The awe-inspiring display of fireworks! None of these words or phrases have ever been used to describe 90 Seconds on The Verge. But this episode does have Nilay Patel, who at various points in his career been known as spectacular, showy, and combustible. There isn't a better day to have him host, though, given all the Apple v. Samsung evidence that came out last night. It won't rile him up as much as, say, net neutrality, but it puts him in a good state of mind.
Stories of the day:
- Early 'Jony' iPhone concept shows Sony design influence
- The iPad that never was: kickstands, curves, and 'highly confidential' Apple prototypes revealed
- Documents show Samsung fixated on a 'Beat Apple' strategy, but did it cross the line?
- Xbox Live dashboard update rolling out to beta testers, includes IE9 and Xbox Music
