A new update to Gmail for iOS adds the ability to save picture attachments, as well as smoother scrolling and some bug fixes.

Google has updated its Gmail app for iOS, which now lets users save any attached pictures to their photo library. To save an image you simply need to touch and hold it, and the update also adds "smoother animation and scrolling" for the iPhone and iPod Touch apps, as well as the requisite bug fixes.
