Long gone are the days of oversized boomboxes and lugging cases of audio equipment just to get the music started. If you're okay with ostentatious gear, Philips' FWP3200D 300W Mini Hi-Fi System wants to make party rocking easier by providing a dual iPhone and iPod dock equipped with a pair of 2-inch tweeters and 5.25-inch woofers. A cross-fader and basic treble and bass controls are also included, and the speakers light up to the rhythm of the music. While the faux-turntable mechanism is only used for rotating the individual docks, DJs can add digital scratching to the mix with apps like Algoriddim's djay. USB and aux-in ports are provided for those without an iOS device. The Mini Hi-Fi System is availabe now in the UK for £299.99 ($470); an optional 240W speaker can be added for another £199.99 ($314).
