Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" is one of those songs you just couldn't get away from this year, not only because it's been all over the radio, but also because of the deluge of fan-created interpretations that have hit YouTube. Now the Australian singer has decided to celebrate the sheer range of covers that are available by bundling dozens of them into one video — from beautiful renditions from the likes of the Netherlands Radio Choir, to parodies like the "Canucks Playoff Song."

Called "Somebodies: A YouTube Orchestra," Gotye says that it was created because he "couldn't resist the massive remixability that such a large, varied yet connected bundle of source material offered." While remix culture can create issues when it comes to copyright, Gotye's new video also shows the incredible range of creativity it can inspire — and it's even better when the original creator takes notice.
