Earlier this week Barnes & Noble announced it would be offering its Nook E Ink readers at John Lewis stores in the UK this autumn. Now the company is adding a trio of other partners, including Argos, Blackwell’s, and Foyles. To get a sense of the size of the deal, Blackwell’s is the leading retailer of academic textbooks in the country, and Argos is one of the biggest retailers in the UK — as the company points out, 90 percent of the UK’s population lives within 10 miles of an Argos store. Just as like John Lewis, all three companies will be carrying the Nook Simple Touch and Nook Simple Touch with Glow Light, but specifics on pricing and availability won’t be released until the fall.
