Samsung will introduce a Smart TV with Google TV capabilities by the end of this year. The Korean conglomerate already offers a whole range of Smart TVs, and has its own app store and content stores. According to the official Google TV blog, the new TV will offer Google TV alongside Samsung's own "premium content and services."
Late last year Eric Schmidt famously announced that "by the summer of 2012, the majority of the televisions you see in stores will have Google TV embedded." While Samsung is a very large player in the TV market, it looks as though this is one device out of the dozens the company produces. We don't have the precise details on what Samsung will be launching by the year's end, but we're live at IFA, where the new TV is apparently being previewed, so hopefully we'll have more news for you soon.
