The latest CGI teaser trailer for Final Fantasy XIV is now available and offers up a look at the total destruction of the original game world as it is reborn with this major update.

Final Fantasy XIV was first released to a barrage of criticism before receiving a slew of patches, followed by the development of a complete game re-design in the form of A Realm Reborn.

Square Enix is planning on showing off a full gameplay presentation next week at Gamescom. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn releases to PC and PS3 some time next year.
