A long-awaited update to the Wordpress app for iPad and iPhone has just been released. Version 3.1 taps into the sliding panels trend that's become so common lately, allowing you to swipe over to see a sidebar offering the different features of the app. On the iPad, the panels interface expands out as well, providing a view of multiple sections of the app. Other new features include "post format" support, post preview on the iPad, dashboard access, and landscape support. Finally, the ever-present "performance improvements" are here, which as 9to5Mac notes were sorely needed. WordPress promises that it's already "marching toward the next big release" with a visual editor, but in the meantime WordPress users can download the visually-refreshed version now in the iTunes App Store.
