A couple months after Tumblr's iPhone app received a major overhaul, the blogging platform has redesigned its mobile site to allow for faster browsing and easier navigation. The new mobile browser is a significant improvement over the last implementation, and allows users to like, reblog, and share posts using Facebook, Twitter, or email straight from a dashboard equivalent. Tumblr has also made tweaks to the designs for static pages — about, contact, bio pages, etc. — as well as added support for full-width images and infinite scrolling. The redesigned mobile view is visible to all users, though only those who opt-in to the mobile layout will have it reflected on their own blog. While the changes may not be numerous, they offer critical usability improvements for smartphone and tablet users.
