    San Francisco's Bay Bridge already has a pretty complex lighting rig, but it's about to get a lot more impressive. A light sculpture called The Bay Lights, designed by artist Leo Villareal, is set to bathe the bridge's West Span in brightness with 25,000 LEDs. Each light is individually programmed, and you'll be able to see the resulting display of patterns and animations from miles away; the show will go on for two years, and it's expected that 50 million people will visit the bridge in that time. The opening ceremony is set for March 5th, but until then you can see an artist's rendering of the project below.
