Popular GIF-creation app Cinemagram released an update today, giving users the ability to create short videos by stringing multiple animated images together. The update also adds push notification settings, improves video quality, and implements a number of bug fixes. Cinemagram's new video creation tool comes just two days after Twitter launched Vine, its new six-second video sharing service for iOS, though Cinemagram was likely working on the feature prior to the service's release. Even though the trend of sharing short videos and animated GIFs is just hitting its stride with this wave of new apps, so far Vine's simplicity of use gives it a strong advantage over Cinemagram and other similar apps.
