The dreaded early adopter bug has bitten buyers of Apple's new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. The company has now acknowledged that in "rare" circumstances the keyboard and touchpad of that particular laptop will become unresponsive and promises to issue an update to rectify the situation. In the meantime, the advice offered is to close the laptop, allow a minute to pass so the affected components reset themselves, and then open it up again. Apple's note only pertains to the built-in keyboard and touchpad, so it may well be possible to avoid the issue altogether by plugging in a set of external input devices.
