Ever since The Walt Disney Company purchased Marvel back in 2009, the idea of a Disneyland ride inspired by the comic maker's characters has been particularly tantalizing. Now it's happening. Hong Kong will be home to the first such ride, based on Iron Man. According to The New York Times, the ride will be ready by 2016 and will come at an estimated cost of at least $100 million. Considering the success of the Iron Man movies and The Avengers in China, it's a natural match, and apparently a lot is riding on it: the Times explains that the ride will be part of a push to bring the struggling park up to expectations.
