Between Captain Phillips, Thor: The Dark World, and About Time almost every genre possible is represented in theaters this weekend. How will things look in the year ahead? Let's take a look at some of the latest trailers to find out.

Maleficent

The villain takes the starring role in this live-action inversion of Sleeping Beauty. Both a prequel and a sort of reboot, it stars Angelina Jolie in the title role opposite Elle Fanning’s Princess Aurora. It hits theaters next summer.

Divergent

If you were worried there weren’t going to be enough young-adult dystopias showing up in theaters, rest easy. In the world of Veronica Roth’s sci-fi trilogy, young people are split up into one of five distinct groups based upon human virtues. When Tris (Shailene Woodley) discovers she doesn’t fit neatly into that system, she has to keep it a secret — or face the consequences.

Flowers In the Attic

The minute you start talking about V.C. Andrews adaptations, you know you’re in for some creepy business. Add the Lifetime Channel to the equation and things get even worse. Top it all off with Taken By Trees’ cover of "Sweet Child O’ Mine" and… yeah. You’ll have to see for yourself.
