Time Warner Cable customers can now stream Showtime hits like Homeland, Dexter, Californication, and Weeds from a smartphone or tablet. The company today added itself to the list of cable providers that support Showtime Anytime. It's essentially the Showtime equivalent of HBO Go, and like that popular service, lets users view content on a mobile device both at and away from home. The Showtime Anytime app is available for both iOS and Android, though it's not available on quite as many set-top boxes as HBO Go.

Like other TV Everywhere apps, you'll need to authenticate your cable subscription by logging in with your TWC credentials. (Showtime obviously needs to be included in your channel package to gain access.) After that, you can stream the network's most popular shows on demand, or flip between Showtime East and West for live programming. Other providers that already support Showtime Anytime include Comcast, Cablevision, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-verse, and DirecTV.
