If you're this far, you've finished. Doctor Sleep, King's long-awaited sequel to The Shining, ends, in a lot of ways, with very few truly gripping surprises. There are a few things I didn't expect that pop up along the way, some very scary moments, and overall, a satisfying plot. But, where the book started out in a way which I found to be truly scary, it ends much, much less so.
