Sprint customers in dozens of cities are getting access to faster data speeds today; the carrier has announced that LTE is now available in 70 new markets. Among the markets added today are St. Louis, San Diego, Green Bay, Louisville, and Orlando. Sprint, the third-largest US carrier, says its LTE network now spans an even 300 markets. As rumors of its interest in purchase T-Mobile swirl, the carrier claims today's deployment and other advancements made this year "set the stage for a dynamic 2014 with significant network improvements." The company also points to its enhanced Sprint Spark offering as evidence of continued innovation and progress, even if its overall LTE footprint still lags behind Verizon Wireless and AT&T.
