It’s the end of the week, so it’s time to sit back, relax, and take a look at some of the latest trailers to make the rounds.
Dom Hemingway
Writer-director Richard Shepard’s caper flick stars Jude Law as a safecracker who’s just spent 12 years in prison. He expects some payback for having kept his mouth shut, but in this gloriously profane trailer he never stops talking — and the results are fantastic. Warning: this one’s not safe for work.
Turn
AMC is the network that brought you Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and The Walking Dead. Up next? The Revolutionary War. Turn is a drama about a spy ring that takes place back in 1778. Will it help the network continue its current hot streak? We’ll find out in 2014.
300: Rise of an Empire
The newest trailer for Noam Murro's sequel focuses largely on Eva Green — and the kind of evocative, slow-motion imagery we’d expect from any film bearing the 300 name. Dramatic pronouncements are made. Weapons are swung. The fury of hell is unleashed. But this time… the cloaks are blue.
Pompeii
What happens when you mash up The Day After Tomorrow, 300, and Jon Snow from Game of Thrones? Apparently you get Pompeii. And lest you were worried, yes — it’s coming in 3D.
