Are Google's many web services feeling a bit sluggish today? If so, you're not alone. Numerous reports have sprung up about slow performance across the board, and it appears that Google+ went fully offline earlier — albeit temporarily. In a statement to The Verge, Google confirmed that it's dealing with some issues this morning. "We are currently experiencing an issue with some Google services," said a company spokesperson. "We are currently investigating, and apologize for any inconvenience to those affected."

Thankfully it looks as though the situation is already improving: Google+ looks to be back in working order, and we're not noticing any dire performance troubles within Gmail or Google Docs at the moment. Sorry, it looks like your excuse for productivity delays at work won't be lasting much longer.

Update: And just like that, Google says everything should be back to normal. In a followup statement, the company told us, "the issue should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better."
