We've finished up Week 3 and are headed into the homestretch. Things have settled down a little, with the novel taking on a more conventional structure. Do you find it easier going? What do you think of its portrayal of World War II (or war more generally)? Do you find yourself identifying with or at least hoping for the characters, or do they seem too much like caricatures to fully engage your sympathy? What about Yossarian -- is he a coward or a realist (these are obviously not the only options)?
