We're at MWC 2013 in Barcelona taking our first look at LG's new mid-range Optimus F5 smartphone. The all-plastic F5 has a 4.3-inch IPS display with qHD (960 x 540) resolution. Despite not keeping pace with most handsets on paper, it's a pretty attractive display, with good viewing angles and color reproduction. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and has a fairly capacious 2150mAh battery. Its camera is a 5-megapixel unit, and there's also a 1.3-megapixel shooter up front, reenforcing its mid-range status. It runs Android 4.1.2 with LG's custom interface on top, and should come to market at a low price, although LG hasn't shared an exact price just yet. It'll be available at some point in Q2, followed shortly by its slightly higher-end cousin, the Optimus F7.
