Kick-Ass 2
Kick-Ass 2

After the first film proved to be something of a surprise critical and box office hit, Kick-Ass 2 is heading to theaters this summer. Today we've gotten our first look at the sequel by way of a red band trailer at MTV News. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are all back reprising their original roles, with Jim Carrey joining the cast as a new "real life" hero, Colonel Stars and Stripes. As with the first movie, Kick-Ass 2 is based on Mark Millar's comic series (illustrated by John Romita, Jr.). This time it's Jeff Wadlow in the director's chair, however, with Matthew Vaughn signed on as co-producer. If these two minutes and 37 seconds are any indication, Kick-Ass 2 stays true to the same over-the-top, comedic formula that made the first so enjoyable.
