The venerable Kenneth Branagh wasn't able to turn Thor into the hit of Marvel-sized proportions that fans expected — but maybe a new director can. Marvel has released the first trailer for Thor: The Dark World, and it shows off plenty of explosions, worried looks, and hints of the ancient evil that Thor will be facing. The series' new director, Alan Taylor, only has a few films to his name, but he's something of a regular around HBO: most recently, he helmed four episodes of this season of Game of Thrones, including its premiere. Thor is scheduled to hit theaters this November, when we'll see if Taylor can turn the sequel into a proper blockbuster.
