San Zhi is a futuristic resort town that never was. As Design You Trust reports, construction on the Taiwan site began in 1978, but was abandoned just two years later, after a series of fatal accidents. Today, all that remains are colorful, pod-shaped homes, scattered across the overgrown coastline. It may have never become the resort mecca that was once envisioned, but San Zhi has become a tourist attraction in recent years, with visitors touring its desolate, graffiti-strewn ruins.
