Nokia is holding a special "zoom reinvented" event in New York City on Thursday, promising to give us 41 million reasons to "zoom in." If the 41 million isn't a big enough hint at what we're expecting, then plenty of recent leaks have certainly helped fill in the details. Nokia is expected to announce a "Lumia 1020" Windows Phone 8 handset with a full 41-megapixel PureView camera. The Finnish smartphone maker originally unveiled its original 808 PureView device in early 2012, but it was running on the dated Symbian operating system and didn't get much carrier traction. If Nokia does unveil a Windows Phone version, then it's clearly hoping it will fare better with Microsoft's software on board.

Other surprises may include another low- to mid-range Lumia device, and perhaps some accessories and additional applications. Either way, Dan Seifert and David Pierce will be on the ground in New York, live blogging the whole event as it unfolds. It all begins at 11AM ET / 8AM PT on July 11th, so don't miss it!
