Illustrator Kilian Eng creates moody sci-fi worlds that look like they could be a piece of your favorite genre film, be it Blade Runner or Tron. But Eng's works blend in elements of nature as well — from the jungle to the desert — creating dark and desolate worlds that are uniquely mesmerizing. Ten of Eng's illustrations from his new book, Object 10, are featured at Wired, and Eng himself explains the thinking behind each one of them. For many, he aimed to tell an entire story inside a single image, while others slowly materialized with no end result in mind. Eng posted an animated version of one of the featured drawings to his Tumblr, which you can see below.
