Samsung has historically had a big presence at the IFA trade show — last year saw the introduction of the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Camera, and a slew of Windows 8 tablets — and it looks like this year won't be an exception. The company just released a press invite to its Samsung Unpacked event at IFA 2013 on September 4th, and it looks like we'll be getting our first look at the Galaxy Note III. That's assuming its cheeky "note the date" message in the invite is a clue to the company's intentions, but there's also historical precedence here. 2011's event saw the reveal of the first Note, and last year brought its successor.

The handsets have been among the most popular Android devices around despite their comically large screen sizes, so we're not at all surprised to see another follow-up. The Verge will be live at IFA 2013 bringing you the news, and there will also be a livestream of Samsung's event for those who want to witness yet another of the company's over-the-top press events.

Update: Samsung is also holding a second event on the morning of the 5th that'll likely focus on new laptops and perhaps some other Windows 8 devices.
