Writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Marcos Martin recently teamed up for the excellent, pay-what-you-want digital comic series The Private Eye — and while you wait for the next issue, the pair has released a special behind-the-scenes treat for readers. The 85-page digital book takes a deep dive into the making of the series, featuring everything from emails between Vaughan and Martin dating back to 2011, to early character and layout sketches. Vaughan describes it as "revealing the warts-and-all process of making new creator-owned comics." As with the comics themselves, the behind-the-scenes book is available in multiple formats, and you can pay anything you like — including $0 — to grab a copy. Check it out at the source link below.
