After nearly two decades with one of the most iconic logos in tech, Yahoo is unveiling a new design. Just not quite yet. The company announced today that for each of the next 30 days it will be showing a different variation of the Yahoo logo (today’s is pictured above) both on the homepage and across its US network as it counts down to the big unveil, “having some fun while honoring the legacy of the present logo.”
It’s fun to imagine what the final product might look like, but if you’re hoping for the company to scrap its contentious exclamation point, you’re going to be disappointed — it, the color purple, and the signature yodel are here to stay. The new official logo will be unveiled on September 5th.
