Netflix and Amazon aren't the only companies inking exclusive online video deals — Rdio is now in the fray, too. For three months, the music streaming service will be the only place you can watch a documentary called "Mission to the Edge of Space: The Inside Story Behind Red Bull Stratos." The film covers the five-year span before Felix Baumgartner jumped from a tiny capsule 24 miles above the earth, breaking the sound barrier on his way down to the New Mexico desert below. The new documentary will begin streaming on Rdio on October 14th, exactly one year to the day that Baumgartner performed his record-setting four-minute dive.

Oddly enough, Rdio is confining the documentary — which, like the free fall itself, was produced by Red Bull — to its namesake service and not spreading it over to Vdio, the fledgling video streaming site it opened up to the public in June. This isn't the first time the music service will be streaming video. Last week, MGMT released its self-titled third album alongside a full-length music video called the "Optimizer," exclusively on Rdio. You can watch "Mission to the Edge of Space" next month by signing up for a free trial to Rdio.
