Following yesterday's news that Microsoft will support up to eight controllers on Xbox One, Sony has confirmed that its next-generation console will only support four. It's a rare miss for the PlayStation 4, which has generally outdone Microsoft spec-for-spec in the lead-up to the consoles' launch. PlayStation 3 currently supports up to seven controllers, but with the rise of online gaming, very few titles make use of the feature, with titles like FIFA and Bomberman being rare standouts.
