Sony is expected to announce its oddball QX10 and QX100 smartphone lens cameras at IFA in just a few minutes, but if you can't wait until then, you can check out virtually all of the details for each product right now on Amazon. The massive online retailer lists the products as available starting on September 27th, with the QX10 priced at $248 and the QX100 listed at a steep $498. Those prices and availability details may very well change by the time the devices arrive, but if you want to get to the top of the wait list, you can place a preorder right now.
To recap, the QX10 and QX100 are attachments for Android and iOS smartphones that offer dedicated lenses and image sensors, essentially turning your smartphone into a competent point and shoot camera. The QX10 features a smaller image sensor and 10x optical zoom, while the QX100 borrows the big 20-megapixel sensor from the lauded RX100 Mark II point and shoot camera.
