ElementaryOS/Windows 8 Dual Boot - Booting Linux just reboots

Hey all. So I've been trying to get some info on this. Most of what I've found doesn't really relate enough to this case. I'll try to be as clear as I can, and hopefully somebody can help.

So, I have a windows 8 laptop with which I dualboot ElementaryOS Luna. I had Ubuntu on there for several months, and for the past several months now I've had Luna on there. No problems booting really. I used Windows last night for awhile, then rebooted into Linux, and had no problems at all. It ran fine, everything seemed find.

Today, I tried to boot into Linux, and it isn't working. The Windows bot manager comes up with the two choices. I choose Elementary, the screen goes to the Windows Logo with the "loading" spinny circle thing under it, which happens sometimes when I choose linux. Then it reboots back to the very beginning, with the Vaio logo (obviously, a Sony vaio here) and comes back to the boot manager. Choosing Linux again does the same thing. Interestingly, there was one time I did selected Linux and it rebooted back to the boot manager, as described before, but choosing it a second time took me through that again, and then to a black screen with only the blinking line, like in a prompt.

I don't know what is going on here. I don't know if maybe I need to create a new entry for the bootloader in EasyBCD or something. Before I try anything rash, I will keep looking, but I'm hoping somebody here can hep me out. Any ideas would be most welcome! Thanks all.
