Now that Lucasfilm and Marvel are both under the Disney umbrella, the two will soon be working together in the world of comics. Marvel has announced that, starting in 2015, it will have exclusive rights to the Star Wars franchise for comics and graphic novels. This ends a long-running partnership between Lucas and Dark Horse, the comic publisher that's handled Star Wars since 1991 and is currently working on a book based on the film's original script. "Dark Horse Comics published exceptional Star Wars comics for over 20 years, and we will always be grateful for their enormous contributions to the mythos and the terrific partnership that we had," says Carol Roeder, director of Lucasfilm franchise publishing. No specific titles were revealed, but 2015 is just in time for the next wave of Star Wars films.
