J.J. Abrams might still be hard at work on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but that doesn't mean he's not willing to work on other films. According to Deadline, the director is currently set to produce an unnamed sci-fi project at Sony Pictures through Bad Robot. While details on what the film is about are scant, it's said that it will be about aliens and have a Cloverfield feel when it's complete.
The movie will reportedly be the feature debut of director Chris Alender, who earned some notoriety in 2011 for his short film Eye of the Storm. For now, the film's premise is being kept under lock and key, but Abrams and Alender allegedly pitched Sony enthusiastically on it. Alender even prepared a complete script and a sizzle reel to show off his vision for the movie. Now we just have to wait for the film to turn into a reality. For now, take a look at Eye of the Storm:
