FX has released a number of teaser trailers to promote its upcoming TV adaptation of the Coen brothers' 1996 movie Fargo. The ten-part TV series will tell an all-new "true crime" story set in the world of the original movie, and was written by Noah Hawley (Bones and The Unusuals) with oversight from the Coens, who in addition to providing story ideas are also executive producers for the series.

If the series' tone is as the trailers suggest, then it's safe to say that Fargo has lost none of the original movie's deliciously dark humor in the transition to TV. The short clips also highlight some of the series' cast, which includes Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade), Martin Freeman (The Hobbit), and Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad). Fargo will premiere on FX April 15th, and in the meantime you can watch all 11 of the teasers in the playlist embed below.
