Photographers have always had fun playing with super wide-angle lenses, but German videographer Jonas Ginter has found a way to conquer the world with them. At least, that's what it looks like from his latest video, which miniaturizes our planet to an adorable scale. The video's known as a stereographic projection — it's named for a technique that turns a spherical surface into a 2D plane. Before going for a bike ride, Ginter first needed to make a camera rig that could capture nearly 360-degree video, and to do so he stuck six GoPro cameras together with a custom-designed, 3D-printed mold. The end result is a wonderfully quirky perspective. It's not the first time we've seen this technique in action (some are even using Google Street View images to make similar videos), but Ginter's final product is impressive.
