It's been a full decade since Zach Braff released Garden State, his directorial debut, and just two months from now he'll finally be releasing Wish I Was Here, his second film and the result of a massive Kickstarter success. Braff launched a fundraiser for the film around this time last year, bringing in over $3 million so that he could film the movie while retaining creative control. It received mixed reviews out of its premiere at Sundance, but it's hard to deny that the trailer suggests that Braff's been able to recreate some of the charm and whimsy that made Garden State so memorable. An initial look at the movie debuted last month, and the first official trailer is being released today — the movie itself will open in theaters on July 18th.
