Cliffhanger is certainly a surprising film for a remake, though it did do well back in the early ‘90s. The story centers on Stallone, who gets tied up in a heist of a US Treasury plane carrying millions. Stallone is sent in to rescue the thieves when the plane goes down on the mountains — but he has no idea what he's in for. Stallone actually had a hand in the original screenplay, though it seems unlikely he'll be cast for this unexpected reboot. The original trailer for the film is below.
