Mighty No. 9, the upcoming Kickstarter-funded side-scroller from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, is going back to crowdfunding to add more features to the game. The game's makers opened up a new PayPal-based crowdfunding effort this weekend with a $100,000 goal to add English voice acting to the game, and more stretch goals are promised. The original Kickstarter project smashed through its $900,000 goal with over $4 million in total funding for what's being called the spiritual successor to Mega Man.

In addition to the new crowdfunding effort, an animated series based on the upcoming game is in the works. Japanese animation studio Digital Frontier has released a trailer for the show (above), which it hopes to get privately funded. Mighty No. 9 is scheduled to be released in April 2015 on PC, Mac, Linux, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PS Vita, and Nintendo 3DS.
