Microsoft’s bigger, thinner, and faster Surface Pro 3 is making its way to additional markets on August 28th. After launching in the US and Canada in June, followed by a Japanese release in July, Microsoft is planning to make the Surface Pro 3 available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the UK on August 28th. In most markets you can pre-order today for delivery later this month.

The expansion means Surface Pro 3 will be available in 28 countries just in time for some back to school sales and ahead of the all important holiday shopping period later this year. Microsoft’s latest Surface has been generally well received thanks to its larger 12-inch screen, greatly improved kickstand, and thin and light design. Sales are still a mystery, but Microsoft has previously promised to reveal them in future. Recent rumors suggest Microsoft may be planning to update its 10.6-inch Surface tablet in October, with a slimmer and lighter frame.
