The Loney Island are moving from digital shorts to feature film. Deadline reports that Universal is backing a new Lonely Island movie, which will star the hitmaking comedy group's Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone. Judd Apatow is producing the film, which will reportedly be "set in the world of music," and Taccone and Schaffer will co-direct it. There's no telling whether the film will include previous hits, such as "Lazy Sunday" and "Dick In A Box," or whether the soundtrack will consist of all-new material.

The group previously collaborated on the 2007 flop Hot Rod. Their albums have fared significantly better, selling more than half a million copies, with hit singles including "Jizz In My Pants," "I'm On A Boat," and "I Just Had Sex." Here, for old times' sake, is "I'm On A Boat."
