If you pirated Grand Theft Auto IV, the camera would wobble and shake uncontrollably — a perpetual state of drunkenness. If you tried to download Guster MP3s from Kazaa in the early 2000s, all the vocals would be replaced with meows. Now add The Sims 4 to the list of entertainingly bizarre anti-piracy (intentional or otherwise).

Reports are coming in that torrented copies of Electronic Arts' latest life simulator will permanently pixelate your character, which happens normally when you take a shower but not when you, say, try to play guitar or eat a sandwich. And it seems to spread, culminating in a work of art / accidental Minecraft homage.

Even if you legitimately bought copy of The Sims 4, get ready for some truly disturbing imagery. Demon babies? Oh yeah...
