Tinder will now let you 'Super Like' the people you really like

Last month, Tinder began testing a "Super Like" option in Australia to help users differentiate between the people who just kinda liked them and people who super liked them. Today, "Super Like" is available to everyone.

This is your new superpower

Here's how it works: if you "Super Like" someone (it's an upward swipe) that person will see that you like them before they make the decision to swipe left (and never talk to you) or right (and begin the rest of your lives together). And because you can only "Super Like" one user per day, your potential soulmate will know it's really real. Paying Tinder Plus users can "Super Like" a match up to five times per day.

The function seems to be at least partly a response to frequently cited anecdotal evidence that all (straight) men on Tinder just swipe right on everyone, hoping against hope that they'll land a match. According to a report from The New York Times, men are three times as likely as women to swipe right on any given picture.
