DxO impressed us with its iPhone-connected camera, the One, when it was released in the US last month, and now the device has arrived in Europe. DxO announced this morning that the One is going on sale today for €599 (or £449) in 10 countries across Europe, including the UK, France, and Germany. Additional locations will be added "in the coming months." For the time being, if you pick one up, DxO is also including licenses for its Optics Pro and FilmPack Elite editing software, each of which are normally sold for over €100 on their own.
The One is a pricey iPhone accessory — it's nearly as much as the phone itself! — but it's also a solid option if you're looking for a portable way to get much nicer photos than you'd typically get on your phone. Inside the One is a 1-inch sensor, which is the same size sensor you'll find in higher-end point-and-shoots. It's able to stay so much smaller and cheaper than those cameras by leaning on the iPhone for various functions: it plugs in through the Lightning port and launches a specific shooting app, and from there you can take photos and videos and even set manual controls.
